Synopsis
Pat Tanner III was one of the most popular authors of mid-century comic novels though you’ve probably never heard of him. He wrote exclusively under pseudonyms, most notably Patrick Dennis, the writer and narrator of Auntie Mame. He lived a fabulously campy life with his wife, Louise, and two children in New York City until suffering a mental breakdown as a result of residual guilt resulting from his bisexuality. Deciding self exile a better option than staying, Pat leaves for Mexico and eventually Chicago to become the butler for Roy Kroc.
Years after leaving, Pat surprises his wife with a mysterious visit to discuss their past and future, their relationship, and by extension sexuality, feminism and the pressures of hiding who you are.
